Aparently declared a World Biosphere Reserve in 1993 and also known as 'the Island of the thousand volcanoes', along with Fuerteventura it is the easternmost Island (100 Km from Africa). Places to see are listed as 'Montaña de Fuego, Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes. Very popular resort with Brits and the flight out was missably intereseting. The Island in general does get some strong winds at times. Fuerteventura is visible from Playa Blanca and the sea does not exceed 30 metres in depth between the two island so there are lots of fish to see but no large pelagics. I dived with Rubicon Diving, suggested to me by the son of Villa Stephanie's owner who once worked there. The Villa is very spacious and quiet and the heated pool very welcoming in the morning.

Good job there aren't any grasping, waste of space, incompetant morons here, with no more right to walk God's good earth than a weasel, who fancy making a no win no fee claim, because looking at the pavements and this particularly dangerous looking ramp (if you are a useless idiot) this is compo heaven. |
