Jeff went for his first scuba dive on wednesday. Visability wasn't great, but got some pics.

Jeff Cousteau

And again

On the bottom

With the instructor

A well camouflaged nautilus

Jeff had to do a mask clear as part of the tests.

More tests.

Going up.

A stingray in the sand

Jeff reckonned that this ray was big enough to be called Winstone.

A Learned Rockfish, a bit blurred but quite rare, so worth seeing.

Back out.

Hardest bit, getting the suit off.

Old man of the sea.

Montana Roja an extinct volcano.

People have made names in rock in the crater.

Standing inside the crater.

Finally got the lighthouse fully in shot.

Looking from top of Roja towards our villa.

Trig point.

I suddenly thought that I was back in the Lakes again, albeit a bit warmer.

All the technical stuff out of the way we got suited and booted for a fun dive near Flamingo Beach. Max depth for Jeff after his training was supposed to be 12 metres but we managed 14.

One of the PADI options for diving is to become a wreck diver so here is the wreck, ready for diving.

He is a proper diver now.

Fish? what fish?

OK JB.

In full super-hero mode, but not Green Lantern, not that there's anything wrong with Green Lantern, if you like that sort of thing.

OK KB JB

Hired a car and went to Jameos del Agua.

Waiting to go in the cave.

First view of the cave with subterranean lake is spectacular. They have music playing also.

View from the other end, there are tiny albino blind crabs in the water.

The auditorium where performances are carried out in a natural cave.

In the cave

The second pool.

Looking down from the upper storey.

Same view.

Went to The Mirador del Rio, but they had built a wall so that you couldn't get a good view without paying. Us cheapscates decided to peek around the wall.

Another photo of the Mirador (without the mirador). After this we went to the wine museum where we saw lots of 'bombas' for squashing things and when we had had enough of that and trying not to break into a run, we went to sample some wine and cheese and then home.
